Recommended Maintenance
Maintaining your vehicle is a proven way to avoid getting large surprises down the road. When your vehicle parts start to wear out without the proper servicing from a trained technician it can lead to large bills than if you got the vehicle serviced and fixed the issue the first time. An common example of this is when your brake pads wear out and you avoid replacing them, this can cause your brake pads now with no pad to rub on your rotors which now causes them to need servicing and/or replacement.
When Servicing your vehicle there are two choices you have. You can use Genuine Nissan Parts or sometimes called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts or you can use After Market parts or sometimes referred to as Jobber parts. The main differences between the two are Quality and Price. When choosing to use After Market parts on your vehicle you are giving up the Quality of the Genuine Nissan Parts for a cheaper price. When you choose to go with Genuine Nissan Parts you pay a little extra but get a far superior product. In most cases the Genuine Nissan Parts will last almost twice as long as the After Market Part which means the money you saved by choosing the After Market Part over the Nissan you are loosing plus more due to labour costs of replacing the parts over again.
